For our Logistics Department, we are looking for an Assistant Logistics Officer who is responsible for efficiently and cost-effectively purchasing raw materials, auxiliary materials, and supplies that meet specified quality and quantity requirements, as well as carefully performing shipping activities to support a smooth and reliable logistics chain. Duties and responsibilities: - Compares purchase prices and buys at the best price and quality taking into account delivery conditions and a sustainable relationship. - Performs activities for adequate and efficient shipping, including submitting customs clearance and/or release documents. - Maintains internal contact with involved departments and external contact with carriers and other parties. - Responsible for collecting and delivering documents at banks, customs, tax authorities, etc. - Supports the Supply Chain Manager and Logistics Officer. - Provides assistance at various warehouse locations under supervision of the Head Warehouse and Warehouse Supervisor. The ideal candidate: - MBO level (or equivalent education). - At least 2 years of work experience in transport and shipping and experience as assistant buyer. - Knowledge of HSEQ standards: ISO 9001, 14001, FSSC 22000, 45001 and other QC standards. - Driving licence BE (possibly C and D). - Experience with MS Office applications and IT systems used in shipping. For our Fermentation and Distillation Department, we are looking for a Distillery Operator responsible for safely operating and monitoring the distillation, fermentation, molasses pre-treatment, and utilities systems of the new F&D plant. The candidate we are looking for will be responsible for the following core tasks: - Starting up, operating, and monitoring the molasses pre-treatment system (pre-fermentation) as well as temperatures in the fermenters to ensure completion of mash fermentation. - Adjusting process variables such as temperature, pressure, and flow to optimise yeast propagation and fermentation. - Monitoring and interpreting process data from control systems (SCADA) to identify deviations and take corrective action. - Starting up, operating, shutting down, and monitoring distillation columns, pumps, and related equipment. - Monitoring and adjusting water softeners where needed to ensure soft water supply for steam boilers and cooling installations. - Identifying and resolving minor faults and reporting major technical issues to maintenance technicians. - Performing regular quality checks on raw materials and end products by taking samples for analysis according to established standards. - Following all safety procedures and regulations regarding hazardous materials and operation of distillation, fermentation, and utility systems. - Performing routine maintenance checks on distillation, fermentation, and utility systems. - Keeping detailed logs of operational data such as process parameters, quality checks, and deviations. - Preparing reports on production volumes, product quality, and operational issues. - Monitoring raw material stock levels and ensuring sufficient availability for production. - Managing storage and transfer of end products. Requirements for this role include: - MBO NATIN/AMTO in chemistry, process technology, or mechanical engineering. - Good knowledge of basic chemistry and chemical processes. - Familiarity with distillation techniques and equipment. - Experience with process control systems (SCADA) is a plus. - Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures. - Accuracy and strong analytical skills. - Technical insight and problem-solving ability with equipment malfunctions. - Excellent communication skills and teamwork. - Willingness to work shifts and handle a demanding work environment. - Knowledge of HSEQ standards: ISO 9001, 14001, FSSC 22000 and other QC standards is a plus. - Administrative experience (Navision, Word, and Excel) is a plus We offer: - A challenging role within a dynamic company. - Excellent employment conditions. - Ample opportunities for development and training.
