First Milestone!
On 5 April 2024, SAB signed with FRILLI Srl for the new fermentation and distillation plant—a milestone for 24/7 rum production.
On Friday 5 April 2024, the long-awaited contract for the delivery and installation of the new fermentation and distillation plant was signed with the Italian company FRILLI Srl.
This is the first major milestone in the Fermentation and Distillation project, reached after years of preparation and negotiations supported by local and international experts.
The partnership with FRILLI Srl, part of the Italian OMNIA DELLA TOFFOLA S.p.A. group, is the first important step in the F&D project.
FRILLI Srl specialises in designing, building, and supplying fermentation and distillation plants.
The new fermentation and distillation plant will enable us to produce Extra Light, Medium, and Heavy rums around the clock.
This progress will not only complete the alcohol and rum production chain in Suriname, but also reduce dependence on foreign raw materials while allowing SAB to enter new export markets.
We are working towards commissioning the new plant by the end of Q3 2025.
